Midtown East Meetup (Meetup) Free
This Cosi is now open until 8 p.m. every night, and the manager is extremely grateful for our business. At this location we are asked to fill up the back dining room before taking tables in the front, and they do ask us to replace tables and chairs when we leave. As always, bring games or play ones others bring. For a list of the games we usually bring, check the message board or the responses to previous events. When at the Cosi, make sure you order food and drink and clean up your messes so that the staff will continue to be happy to see us. If you arrive and it looks like we're all busy playing games, ask to watch until one finishes, or ask how soon a game will finish. If you're not sure about joining a game you don't know, ask others questions about it, and let them know you'll need to learn the rules (we almost always have new players for every game).

Games Plus - Mount Prospect (NW Suburbs) (Meetup) Free
We have a regular weekly game night held in the game room of the Games Plus store in Mount Prospect. We start playing around 6:30PM and must leave at 11PM. Almost anything can hit the table on any given night. Recently seen played games include: Steam, Railroad Tycoon, Dominion, Notre Dame, Stone Age, Washington's War, 18xx, El Grande, Princes of Ra, etc. This is an open group - so please feel free to stop by and play. Do not be shy, since it is a retail store many people just look at us playing and move along. If you want to play introduce yourself to the groups playing games and we'll get you playing soon. The store does provide a few games, but many members bring their own to play and are looking for people who want to play with their new purchased game. Games Plus is our host and we support them by purchasing snacks, drinks and games since they provide the space, tables and chairs for us to play on. We are 1 block East of route 83 (Elmhurst Road), just south of the railroad tracks.

News and discussion of current national and state events, and updates on our group activities. No special guest speaker has been scheduled at this time. Bring a friend who's of like mind. COST: for all attendees is $3.00 at the door. That fee includes coffee, tea and breakfast pastries. Children under 18 are free. Please have correct change as we do not have access to a change drawer. All must pay regardless of whether you have refreshments or not as we are charged based on the number in the room. If you are not a Traverse Bay Area 912 member, PLEASE RSVP HERE. The meeting begins promptly at 10:00 AM and runs until 11:30 AM. Please arrive a bit early to get your beverage and engage in networking, so we can begin at 10:00 SHARP. Please be considerate of others and RSVP if at all possible. Remember, even a "Maybe" helps us plan. It is disruptive to have to set up additional tables and chairs and bring out more refreshments when people arrive without an RSVP.

UWS Game Meetup (Meetup) Free
Thanks to one of our newer members, Tracy (strayfarce), for volunteering to host this meetup in case I can't show up. Please say hi to her when you arrive. It is important to keep in mind a few special rules about this location: * Order food and drink. The managers don't necessarily know which of us are in the meetup group when we order, but they do notice if their receipts are higher when we're there. * Fill up the back dining room before overflowing into the front. The main reason is that they don't mind if we move tables and chairs in the back, but they do not want us moving anything in the front dining area. We are often a bit louder than other patrons too, so it's better if we can keep the noise in the back. * The place closes at 11 p.m. every night now, but the management has become more relaxed about what areas they clean up first, so we may not have to move to the front at 10:30 any more. Otherwise, just be nice to the staff.
